Hugo was born & raised in Hormigueros, a small town in the west coast of Puerto Rico. After finishing his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez, Hugo moved to Washington, DC where he worked for several years in the private and non-profit political fields representing national and international interests in a variety of issues. Although a very interesting field, he made the decision to pursuit an interest he have had for a long time, real estate. In just 4 years in real estate, Hugo is already a Top Producer with a sales volume of $6.5 million in 2005.

Hugo is married to his long time love, Leah. They have a daughter and a spoiled-rotten, American Eskimo dog named Jonah (a.k.a. Jaji). They live in Springfield, Virginia.

Hugo is a member of the following organizations: National Association of Realtors® (NAR);  Northern Virginia Association of Realtors® (NVAR); National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP).  Besides his affiliation to the professional organizations mentioned above, Hugo frequently contributes articles on real estate issues for "Mi Casa", the award-winning real estate section of the Washington Hispanic newspaper.
